For large binders that hold hundreds of pages. Pre-configured to 3-inch (76.2 mm) spine width. The extra width gives you room for larger text and multi-line labels. Print on A4 or US Letter with automatic cut marks.
A 3-inch binder holds 600 pages or more and is the size reached for when a project, case file or archive year will not fit anything smaller. The 76.2 mm spine is wide enough that legibility stops being a constraint and structure starts to matter: a title, a subtitle and a date range all fit comfortably. For archives, putting the date range on its own line in a consistent position makes a shelf of identical binders scannable in a way that a single dense line never is.
You can print on plain paper and cut along the marks, or use a pre-cut sheet made for this format:
| Avery 89109 | 3" spine inserts, 15 per pack. Slide-in inserts for wide US ring binders. |

Only 2 three-inch labels fit across an A4 or US Letter sheet, so a large batch uses a lot of paper. If you are labelling an archive, consider printing on 120 gsm cardstock — a heavier insert resists buckling in the spine pocket when the binder is pulled off the shelf repeatedly.
Micro-perforated cardstock inserts for 1-inch view binders (1.4" spine channel). 40 inserts, laser and inkjet.
For 2-inch ring binders with a 2.8" spine channel. 20 cardstock inserts, bright white, micro-perforated.
TripleTrack rail and a cut-line wire that shows exactly where the blade lands. The single best upgrade over scissors for printed label sheets.
