Create perfectly sized labels for 1-inch binders. This tool is pre-configured to the standard 1" (25.4 mm) spine width. Just type your text, format it, and print. The labels are arranged on an A4 or US Letter sheet with cut marks for easy trimming.
A 1-inch three-ring binder holds roughly 175 sheets of 20 lb paper — about right for a single course unit, one client file, or a quarter of statements. On this size the label, not the binder, is the constraint: 25.4 mm gives you one line of large type or two lines of smaller type, and no more. Two- or three-word titles read best from across a room. If a title will not fit, splitting it over two lines keeps it far more legible than shrinking the type below 12 pt, because spine labels are almost always read at an angle and from a distance rather than straight on.
You can print on plain paper and cut along the marks, or use a pre-cut sheet made for this format:
| Avery 89103 | 1" spine inserts, microperforated cardstock, 8 per sheet. These are inserts for a binder's clear spine pocket, not adhesive labels. |

This tool places 8 one-inch labels side by side on an A4 or US Letter sheet. The columns are narrow, so a printer that shifts the page by even 2 mm will clip the outermost label — print a plain-paper test sheet and hold it against the binder before committing cardstock.
Micro-perforated cardstock inserts for 1-inch view binders (1.4" spine channel). 40 inserts, laser and inkjet.
For 2-inch ring binders with a 2.8" spine channel. 20 cardstock inserts, bright white, micro-perforated.
TripleTrack rail and a cut-line wire that shows exactly where the blade lands. The single best upgrade over scissors for printed label sheets.
