For clip-top jars, large canning jars and bottles: round labels at Ø 65 mm leave room for contents, date and one extra line. Create, print and cut — free.
Ø 65 mm is the largest common round format and the right choice when the label needs to carry more than a name. Three lines are workable: contents, ingredients or the date it was started, and a shelf-life note. The size is typical for pickled vegetables, chutneys, syrups and infused spirits — anything whose contents need more explanation than strawberry jam. On bottles, a round label sits best on the flattest part of the body because of the curve; for narrow bottles a landscape format works better.
You can print on plain paper and cut along the marks, or use a pre-cut sheet made for this format:
| Avery Zweckform 5081 | Ø 65 mm round, white, removable. 80 labels on 10 A4 sheets — sold for jam jars and bottles. |
|---|---|
| Plain paper | For bottles that get damp, coated paper or a removable sheet lasts considerably longer than plain printer paper. |
At 65 mm this tool arranges 12 labels in a 3 × 4 grid; the Avery Zweckform 5081 sheet holds 8 per page with wider spacing. When printing onto that sheet, follow its layout and run a plain-paper test first.
